A sustainable future starts here

Sherwood Energy Village is part of “Sherwood Environmental Village Ltd.” The same name is also shared with the 36-hectare (91-acre) site in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands region of England. The organisation was founded in 1996. In the same year the site was bought from British Coal.

The SEV organisation had a unique insight into social, environmental and economic regeneration. (See Holistic Development) Sherwood Energy Village is delivering holistic sustainable development in a commercial setting.

In 2005 Sherwood Energy Village has won the accolade of Enterprising Britain 2005 in a national competition organised by H.M. Treasury in addition to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) East Midlands Regional award for Regeneration and the overall Best Project award.

Sherwood Energy Village (SEV) was an Industrial & Provident Society. The company was a fully trading company, but the profits were applied back to Aims and Objectives rather than shareholder benefit.
